Current positions

The majority of Renesys employees are software engineers. They are responsible for architecting, developing, and maintaining our interactive Internet applications. Engineers work in small teams to enhance our existing products and develop completely new ones, providing real-time intuitive access to a vast data repository that is focused on the structure and status of the global Internet. Our business continues to grow and we have positions available in all of the following categories. Product Manager

Responsible for developing and launching complex high growth products. Have the necessary insight to identify short and long term revenue growth opportunities that fit with the company's business model and strategy. Responsible for the planning and execution of the overall product lifecycle, and serve as both a business and technical product expert. Drive results by leading cross-functional teams.

Requirements:

  • Proven capability as a subject matter expert for technical product development.
    • Skilled at evaluating competition and market dynamics and understanding emerging technologies.
    • Able to articulate a value proposition and points of differentiation.
    • Experience with user-focused development methodology.
  • Able to effectively translate Marketing requirements into Product specifications and Technical requirements.
  • Experience coordinating with internal engineering and development teams to develop and implement new product.
  • Experience with software development products, network management tools, or IP product development.
  • Experience: 5+ yrs in all aspects of product development, implementation and marketing.
  • Education: BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or Telecommunications. MBA or MS a plus.
  • Communication: Advanced written and verbal communication skills, including writing of technical documents. Must be able to influence a project team of employees and executives in a highly matrixed environment.
  • Work Style: Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines. Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously. Must be organized and detail oriented.
  • Advanced analytical skills: Must be able to work through complex issues with a methodical approach.
  • Business Acumen: Must have an intermediate understanding of telecommunications industry or similar business experience.
  • Location: Hanover NH or willingness to relocate.
  • Travel: Ability to travel as needed (Approx. 10%).
Pluses:
  • Business experience with managing, supporting, or purchasing IP network services is desired.
  • Understanding of security technologies — (Situational Awareness, Denial of Service prevention and detection, Intrusion detection, and or network security) a plus.


Sales Representative — Outside Sales

Renesys is looking to add top performers to its sales team. The outside sales representative will join an extremely high activity, high accountability team that is driving the Internet Business Intelligence market. The position has direct revenue responsibility and the right candidate will possess a track record of over quota achievement and professional sales execution. The ability to work independently, along with initiative and experience delivering SaaS solutions to the Fortune 2000 and Web 2.0 domain, is imperative.

Responsibilities:

  • Prospect, present and close new SaaS license agreements
  • Deliver on-line and face-to-face presentations highlighting Renesys’ value proposition
  • Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly and annual revenue objectives within assigned sales territory
  • Develop and maintain sales pipeline sufficient to meet revenue objectives
  • Provide timely and accurate management reports including forecasts and activity records
  • Manage all aspects of the sales cycle including qualification of opportunities, development of account strategy, coordination of all sales team resources, final negotiation and closing of business
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of demonstrated solution sales experience in the SaaS industry
  • Experience in consultative, enterprise solutions selling
  • Proven track record of managing a pipeline with multiple accounts and opportunities
  • Ability to independently perform in an extremely high activity environment
  • Knowledgeable about application performance vendors, Internet technologies, industry trends and business drivers
  • Proven success delivering SaaS solutions to the large enterprises
  • Excellent verbal and written and presentation skills
  • History of over quota achievement
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 60—70% domestic travel


Sales Representative — Inside Sales

The Inside Sales Representative provides direct support to the outside sales team in the ongoing development of existing and prospective customers to ensure that the department meets its growth targets. The inside sales rep will also have responsibility for helping create the Inside Sales function at Renesys. He or she should be knowledgeable about the inside sales process and have the ability to create and tailor the function to meet the business needs of Renesys. The ability to help hire and grow an inside sales team is desirable.

The responsibilities cover three distinct domains:

Outbound Lead Development:

  • Develop initial contacts at target enterprises and schedule the first in-house or web conferencing demonstration for the outside sales team
  • Execute e-mail outreach to the appropriate lists
  • Create demand for company marketing events Webinars, trade shows, road shows, etc.

Inbound Lead Qualification:

  • Respond to and qualify all inbound telephone, e-mail, trade show and webpage leads
  • Deliver company overview and value proposition to qualified leads to further qualify them
  • Schedule the first in-house or web conferencing demonstration for the outside sales team

Customer Care:

  • Manage service contract renewal
  • Drive existing customer outreach for trade shows, product briefings and promotions
  • Qualify and schedule the service upsell demonstrations for the outside sales team
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related major is preferred
  • Business-to-Business sales experience is preferred
  • Application management product and/or Internet technology experience is preferred
  • Ability to initiate, establish, and nurture business relationships with customers and partners
  • Ability to work independently at a fast-pace and learn products, systems, and sales processes/reporting
  • Travel in support of sales or training meetings, and/or trade shows
  • Some out of business hours coverage is possible


Software Developer

Requirements:
  • A degree holder in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Skilled in JavaScript and Python.
  • 3+ years experience with interactive component design and development: jQuery, AJAX, HTML, JSON and CSS.
  • Experience with database programming, SQL or NoSQL.
  • A solid understanding of web application programming architectures and frameworks, including HTTP, cookies, etc.
  • Experience developing APIs & web services.
  • Familiarity with Linux and open source environments.
  • Eligibility to work in the US.
Pluses:
  • SVG, D3 or other interactive visualizations a huge plus.
  • Responsive design. Sass or Less.
  • Pylons frameworks or Java experience.
  • Strong communications skills and graphic design sense.
  • Mobile application development (Android, iPhone, iPad)
  • Experience with GIS and/or data mining applications.
  • Related contributions to open source projects.
  • Familiarity with networking technologies and concepts: TCP, IP Routing (BGP), DNS.


Software Engineer (Middleware)

Requirements:
  • A degree holder in Computer Science, Applied Math or a related field.
  • Very familiar with Linux and open source.
  • Skilled in Python.
  • Expert in data retrieval using SQL or other indexed backing stores.
  • Operationally focused with an emphasis on efficient retrieval, scaling and fault tolerance.
  • A good understanding of performance issues in a distributed Linux computing environment.
  • Experience in writing new APIs, overhauling old APIs and API versioning.
  • Eligibility to work in the US.
Pluses:
  • At least 5 years of software development experience.
  • Experience in Perl and/or Java.
  • PostgreSQL database experience.
  • WSGI-based or HTTP data application experience.
  • Related contributions to open source projects.
  • Familiarity with networking technologies and concepts: TCP, IP Routing (BGP), DNS.


Research Intern

The research intern will perform analysis of global Internet routing and related data to derive models of the Internet's organizational structure. Work will be performed using a variety of proprietary and off-the-shelf data analysis tools. Pay will be competitive and commensurate with experience.

Requirements:

  • Graduate or rising senior undergraduate student with a Computer Science focus.
  • Demonstrable proficiency with the Linux command line.
  • Ability to work 20 — 40 hours per week.
  • Smart, goal-oriented team player.
  • Eligibility to work in the US.
Pluses:
  • Familiarity with basic networking concepts.
  • Experience with a Linux scripting language (e.g., Python, Perl).
  • Familiarity with open source tools.
